Lynn has been performing in and around the Washington, D.C. area for over
25 years. Beginning her career as a singer in Woodbridge, England, Lynn has
had the opportunity to perform internationally for many types of events and
venues. Lynn had the opportunity to study and train in both classical guitar
and vocals with a professional opera singer in England, and further developed
her talents by teaching herself to play the piano. Lynn also trained classically
at Harding University and Mary Washington University, where she developed
the stage skills to bring both her presence as a singer and stage artist together.
These skills provided Lynn the basic foundation for her musical talents.
In 1982, Lynn returned to the United States and settled in the Washington,
D.C. area where she met and married the love of her life. Performing in a
variety of venues from performing the Star Spangled Banner for the Washington
Redskins, with Rosemary Clooney, Potomac Cannons,
Washington Wizards, Fire Department dinner events, and PWC PeeWee League
softball Championship games, weddings/funerals, wedding bands, group vocal
jazz ensembles, vocal trios, to the crazy night life of a weekend club performer.
As a singer and vocalist, Lynn believes that variety is the spice of life and provides that spice through her perfomance of a variety of
styles. Lynn is often asked, "what is your favorite music to sing?" Lynn responds, "I have no favorite, I love them all!" Yet if you were to
listen to Lynn's performance you can clearly see a tendency toward sultry, soulful, music by artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Reba McEntire,
Carpenters, and many more.
Lynn has performed for over 25 years offering solo performances with fully accompanied orchestration, soloist with a small combo,
performer as part of TreVoche (an Andrews Sisters style group), or as
a soloist with wedding bands, performing as a lead singer with groups such as Mojo
or The Grin Band, or even orchestras and has such a great reputation that many party
organizers and clubs call her for "last minute"! Currently, Lynn is performing with The
GRIN Band and whether it is for weddings, parties, events or public appearances, Lynn is ready to go!. Lynn graciously honors requests
of those last minute planners and works with those organizers to provide music which meets the need of their occasion. Lynn offers a variety
of vocal performance styles from Classical soprano to popular music styles. Regardless of the event, Lynn provides each variety of show, with
class and style. Other vocal styles and performance offerings include performing a cappella, a cappella with female vocal trios and other
mixed voice ensembles, solo performances using track accompaniment, duet performances with guitar/keyboard and track accompaniment,
or full band options. Whether with live bands or as a soloist, Lynn's performances never fail to delight, and they are sure to be requested
again, and again.
